APIS - The Asset
Protection Information System was first introduced in 1987 as one
of the first loss prevention data management applications. Developed
with a major retailer in an AS400 environment, APIS was a critical
resource for retail loss prevention professionals as a means to
maintain and coordinate strategic case and investigation information
as well as track unusual incidents.
The
power behind APIS was its analytical ability in producing useful
statistical information that was critical in driving all internal
and external loss prevention initiatives. The key to any data management
system is not just getting the data but making sure you can make
the data work for you! We built on this principle in 2001 when we
migrated APIS to a web-enabled platform. With several retail development
partners supporting our efforts we released APIS2002 as a dynamic
and powerful online resource for case and incident management. APIS
has continued to grow and expand exponentially over the years and
today stands well above every other retail data management system
as a leader in innovation and cutting edge technology. No other
system offers the system functionality and scalability that APIS
offers, used today to support many of the nations top retailers
in the world. APIS has also migrated beyond retail into other areas
including law enforcement, banking/finance and healthcare.
With
such flexibility and support from all of these areas, it was only
a matter of time before we would be asked to build on the existing
platform to bring our world-class functionality to the human resource
arena. Although several modules are in release now, with several
others in development, our latest APIS product, ADaM.HR, will formally
release in 2007 offering a flexible and scalable alternative to
today’s tired technology. We’ve got some of the greatest
creative system design talents in the world partnered with some
of the best companies as development partners to ensure superior
functionality and practicality.
